aprn-patientPreventative Medicine and Anticipatory Guidance are the cornerstones of pediatric care. We recommend that your child(ren) follow the schedule for regular check-ups. Many problems and concerns are discussed at these visits, and occasionally concerning problems are recognized and further evaluated. It can also simply provide a “clean bill of health!”

Well Child Exam Schedule
Please schedule 3-6 weeks ahead of time. Summer (June- August) is the busiest time due to back to school and sports physicals.

    Well child appointments are recommended at the following ages:

  • 2-3 days after discharge if breast-feeding or if there are concerns.
  • 2 wks of age
  • 4 wks of age
  • 2 months (Dtap, Ipv, Hib, Prevnar, Hep B, and Rotavirus)
  • 4 months (Dtap, Ipv, Hib, Prevnar, and Rotavirus)
  • 6 months (Dtap, Ipv, Hib, Prevnar, Hep B, and Rotavirus)
  • 9 months
  • 12 months (Varicella, Prevnar, and Hep A)
  • 15 months (Dtap, Hib, MMR)
  • 18 months (Hep A)
  • 24 months
  • 30 months (with insurance approval)
  • Every year thereafter

* Flu Vaccine recommended annually
